  • Quiet Time/ Daily Devotions

Here are two useful plans to assist you with a time for daily devotions/quiet time with God.

You will soon discover that a Quiet Time is so rewarding that you will want to spend more time than this. Many people find that thirty minutes to one hour each day is most helpful. However, the important thing is to spend some time each and every day connecting to God in prayer and Bible reading / study. A good devotional life will always include both time in the Word and time in prayer.

TIPS TO HELP BEGIN A DAILY QUIET TIME - Plan # 2

Follow a DAILY Plan You CAN KEEP. But what if I miss a day ?

    ·       Don't FEEL GUILTY

    ·       Don't BECOME LEGALISTIC

    ·       Don't GIVE UP

Think of it like eating a meal - if you miss dinner do you beat yourself up or give up and quit eating altogether?  No!  You just eat something or wait for your next meal and get back on track with regular meal times.  A quiet time provides nourishment for your soul.  If you want to experience health, growth and strength you need to do this.  Plug into power! It takes a few weeks for you to become familiar with a new task.  It will take several more weeks before it becomes a comfortable habit. Donít give up - God wants to spend this time with you.  Soon it will become a deeply rewarding part of your daily life.

"So letís not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time

we will reap a harvest of blessing if we donít give up. " Galatians. 6:9 (LB)
