SOM Operations Manager; Assistant Minister of Music
Kristin Whiteker completed her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing at Northern Kentucky University. She has studied piano for 19 years and has various performance experience, including church music, accompanying vocalists and instrumentalists, chamber ensembles, and orchestras. Ms. Whiteker has been a Church Musician for 8 years at different United Methodist Churches in the Northern Kentucky Area. She has taught piano lessons for ages 6 – 45 and Kindermusik classes for at risk children at the Bright Days Child Development Center. As the Assistant Minister of Music, Ms. Whiteker not only assists with the day to day operations management of the Northern Kentucky School of Music, but she is also involved in the music ministry at Immanuel UMC.
Ms. Whiteker comes from a large family that has always been in the NKY area. She has 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and 5 nieces and nephews, whom she loves very much. Spending time with friends and her dog are some of her favorite things to do when she's not with her family. She also enjoys reading, learning new instruments, and anything that has to do with being outside.
