London Scholle

Accordion Faculty

London Scholle has been teaching the piano accordion to students of all ages since 2021. An active accordionist in the Cincinnati area, he has experience performing in ensembles of different styles including tango, blues, jazz, zydeco, and most recently with the Cincinnati Pops in their production of “Ragtime In Concert.” In addition to ensemble work, he also regularly plays solo gigs around the Cincinnati area and has a deep passion for busking. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Arts in Film Scoring through the Berklee College of Music.

With a strong emphasis on technique and traditional teaching methods, London strives to ensure that every student has a strong foundation not just in accordion proficiency, but also in music theory. London also encourages all of his students to improvise and become comfortable adapting to different scenarios on the accordion.

The accordion is a unique instrument that is played in many different cultures, therefore student’s personal musical preferences and tastes are considered when selecting repertoire. With that said, cultural folk music makes up the majority of what is taught including waltzes, polkas, tangos, French Musette, Eastern European traditional songs, and many other styles from around the world.
