Tim Kennedy has been teaching private lessons for 45 years and he has taught middle and high school bands in Kentucky for 37 years. He'll start his 6th year teaching at Mount Saint Joseph University in Ohio this Fall 2021 where he is the Assistant Band Director, Jazz Band Director and runs the trumpet studio. In addition he teaches Instrumental Methods, Conducting and Music Education Methods preparing music majors for student teaching and their careers in music education.
He holds a Bachelor's of Music Education and a Masters in Conducting both from Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky.
He has performed onstage with The Temptations, Dolly Parton, Diana Ross, Barry Manilow, Kool and the Gang, The Gentlemen 5, The Kentucky Symphony Orchestra and the Seven Hills Symphony. In addition to guest performances in Greater Cincinnati he plays regularly with The Swingtime Big Band, The Polished Brass Quintet, Fellowship Brass, Howard Bloemker Orchestra and his own Jazz combo Gentlemen Jazz.
