Director of Children’s and Women’s Ministries
Women to women….embracing one another, connected by Christ as we reach, teach, grow, and serve in His name.
Our ministry hosts two large events per year just for women.
The Spring Retreat is an offsite, overnight experience with comfortable accommodations, delicious meals in a lovely wooded setting.
The Fall Conference is held all day on a Saturday.
Both experiences will leave you refreshed and empowered as a Godly woman.
Woman’s Bible Study: Mondays at 9:30-11:30 am at Immanuel Lakeside Park Campus: The studies on Monday morning are series focused and topical. After a large group presentation, the ladies break into smaller groups for discussion and prayer.

Chick Flick Movie Nights: On rotating nights throughout the year: Where women come together to share fun, faith and fellowship!

We pray that you and your family feel a calling to serve with us in Harlan, Kentucky this August 1st – 4th, however, the opportunity to serve is not limited to the trip itself.
Please consider serving the 2019 Harlan Mission as a monetary sponsor or local participant. As a sponsor, you have the opportunity to provide a hotel room for one of the many volunteers or the blessing of supplying a lunch or dinner to the onsite mission team. Locally, we have a need for volunteers to help transport our collections after each month from the Lakeside Park and Boone Campuses to the Southgate campus for inventory and packing. Lastly, if you have only one night to serve, please consider Thursday, August 1st at 10:00 am as we load our truck to embark on the mission.
We will continue to collect mission items through Sunday, July 28th. The items are listed by category on the website (Hygiene, Food, and School Supplies). This year’s mission will continue to serve the children and families in the Harlan community as we partner again with Cawood Elementary School to provide food, supplies, and prayer for the upcoming school year.
We will also be undertaking several small construction projects that will consist of building, cleaning, painting, and minor repairs and renovations.
Lodging is available by reservation at the Quality Inn in Harlan, KY for a special group rate, or you may consider the option of staying at the Mary Helen UMC fellowship hall this year at no cost (sleeping bags, air mattresses, cots, etc. not provided).
Please contact Nancy Bay at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.

Everyone wants the abundant life, but do we know what that truly means? In our search for the abundant life, many of the wells we draw from simply cannot provide the type of abundance our souls truly thirst for. During our time together, we’ll consider what types of wells we are drawing from to find satisfaction, purpose and fulfillment, and how we can draw from a deeper well in order to live the abundant life Christ desires for us.
Our Speaker - Susan is a wife, mom, pastor, writer/blogger, speaker, mentor, yogi and our former youth pastor! She has over twenty years of experience teaching, writing and leading retreats, speaking at youth retreats and conferences, mission events, college events, women’s events, and preaching regularly. She has written four unique weekend retreats, and would love to speak with you about leading a day or weekend retreat experience for your group.
Mission Project - Jason Tash, Direct of Development for Destiny Rescue will also be joining us. He will share the Destiny Rescue story as well as share stories of children they are defending. A Jewelry table will present us an opportunity to support their ministry to women freed from sex trafficking.
Wednesday, September 12, 6:30 PM - Wednesday, September 12, 7:45 PM
936 weeks. That’s the approximate time you have from the moment your child is born until he or she graduates from high school. It goes by fast, and kids change and grow quickly.
When you look at a timeline like the one below and realize you only get 13 phases of life to shape your child’s faith, it really brings into perspective how important right now is. Starting this term, we are offering a unique family experience as an option in our Wesley Night line-up that will allow parents and children some combined spiritual formation time, as well as breakouts for parents and children. We’ll worship together, play together, learn together, then when the children move to their lesson, parents will spend time learning about how to help their children “Trust Jesus in a way that transforms how they love God, themselves, and the rest of the world.”
Your kid is changing every week! Just as you begin to figure them out, they shift or move on to a new rhythm, a new habit, and a new opinion. It can make the responsibility to shape a child’s faith and character feel overwhelming. But it doesn’t have to.
That's why we are here. We want to partner with you to help you Parent like every moment matters. That's why we created this new Family Experience. During our time together you'll get a chance to worship, learn, and play with your children as they learn about God. Then you'll get to experience the Parenting Through the Phases Small Group study. It's a small group series that will help you discover what’s changing about your kid. We’ll also talk about the 6 things your kid needs most, and 4 conversations you’ll want to have with your kid starting today!
Wednesdays through the fall, starting September 12th at 6:45pm. 1440 Boone Aire Road Florence KY 41042. Don’t miss out! Click the button below to sign-up.

Our guest speaker is Robin Vanzant. The following is a quote from her “story”…
“I needed an everyday, every moment kind of meaning. I needed a life and a faith that could intersect anywhere. I needed to discover that what I believed to be true really was true, all the time, everywhere.”
Come and hear about how you can be clothed in strength and dignity and how love outcast things that are not true.
Visit Robin’s website for more information about this dynamic speaker. http://www.rvanzant.com/about-robin-vanzant/
